At first, of course, I thought it may be gas rumbling around, but after the feeling reoccurred several times, there was no doubt in my mind what I was feeling. I went back through my Maternity Journal that I kept with Tyler to see when I was first able to identify his movement. With Tyler, it was 20 weeks when I documented feeling him move for the first time. Being my second pregnancy, this time around these feelings are no longer foreign and I am able to identify them more accurately.
It is all becoming so real seeing that I am feeling and looking pregnant now. Even more surreal is that I am nearing the halfway mark already, as I am 18 weeks today. It will be sooner than we know, that we will be able to watch and feel baby girl's movement on the outside of my belly as she tries to find her perfect position. It is then when all the feelings of heels to the rib cage (oh joy) and fetus hiccups will all come back to me. Until then, I'll enjoy these pain-free flutters. And so it goes...
