Hot Dog or Hamburger???

After much awaited anticipation, we are pleased to announce...

A Hamburger it is!!!!!!! David told me when we first found out that we were pregnant, that he hoped it was a girl. I was riding the fence. Already having a boy, I found it to be my "comfort zone", but the idea of a girl really excited me. I had a gut feeling that it was a girl from the beginning, but for some reason, these past 2 weeks, I have been doubting my intuition. I feel like I am carrying the same way that I carried Tyler. From what I've been told, with girls, you carry more round. With Tyler, I was all out front. Maybe it's too early to tell, but I definitely don't feel like I am going to be as big as I was with Tyler. Only time will tell.

On another exciting note, we can now put our girl name, which I've mentioned we've had picked out for 6 or 7 years now, to use. My sister even tried to steal it when she was pregnant with Madison, but I stood my ground. I thought that may have been my downfall. I figured since I didn't let her use it, I would probably never have a girl. BUT, here we are, pregnant with a little girl. And now you're probably wondering what that name is????? Stay tuned. It will be disclosed sooner than later. And for those of you that do know it, keep those lips zipped, please.

Most importantly, I want to thank my dear friend Mari for going out of her way to arrange this special sonogram for us!!!! You are the best!!! I hope you had as much fun as I did, even if she was a little stubborn for you. We watched baby girl for about 40 minutes (not knowing the gender) and got to listen to her heartbeat. We were finally able to see between the legs toward the end, after much moving and grooving. Thanks again, Mari!

To make matters even more sweet, as I was publishing this post, the Perinatal's office called with the results of my integrated screening. Baby girl tested negative for Trisomy 18, Trisomy 20 and Nueral Tube Defects! Great news yesterday, followed by great news today!

And now the pink preparation begins! And so it goes...

Congrats on the news of the girl! I'm so excited for you guys! Get prepared because they can be oh so tougher than the boys. Nonetheless, it's so sweet you are having a girl. And I can't wait to follow along.
